Payment security

When appropriate, we can accept Visa, MasterCard, Solo and Maestro credit and debit cards. Payment is debited from your card at time of order. Our merchant bank account is with Natwest Streamline and all transactions on our payment Website are processed using Sage Pay, a highly secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. Sage Pay comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI). Meleniak Ltd.  do not hold any credit card details on file. Various highly effective checks are used to ensure it is not a fraudulent order before we despatch the goods.

When appropriate, we use a secure and fully PCI compliant shopping cart service for the e-commerce part of our Websites. Our Website payment pages and account pages use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology when appropriate, the most advanced security software currently available for online transactions. You can therefore rest assured that we take the security of your payment and personal details very seriously. We may vary this security technology in the future if we feel you will benefit from greater security whilst using our Websites.

You can tell whether a webpage is secure as 'https' will replace the 'http' at the front of the website address in your browser address window, also, on some browsers, a small locked padlock will appear somewhere in your browser window. Microsoft Internet explorer shows a small padlock near the url whereas Safari has a small padlock at the top right hand side of the browser window. With the exclusion of the bottom toolbar in Firefox 4, the security padlock icon no longer shows on this browser, but the area in the top left hand corner of the url should be coloured blue or green and will show you identity information if you click it . Older browsers often have a padlock at the bottom of the browser window.
